Berwick YNC – November 2013 – Overwintering Birds with Bernard Forsythe

IMGP8339

On November 23rd 2013, the Berwick Young Naturalists Club had a visit with Bernard Forsythe, a local Naturalist and expert in birds. Bernard taught us about what birds would be overwintering in the area and prepared us for the Bird Count in December. We also went for a walk along the trails around the KCIC and saw a sharp-shinned hawk streaking across the sky… maybe that was why we didn’t see very many perching birds that day! Bernard also has invited us to join him at his house in the spring when he checks his nest box for barred owl young. Above is a photo of us. Thanks Bernard!
