Aquatic Invertebrates – September Session of the Nature Guardians Chapter

Date/Time

Saturday, September 21, 2019
2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Description

If you looked closely, the small tidal pools were full of life too, including stickleback, and freshwater invertebrates. Jen lent us little containers to try to catch the tiny, fast creatures. ALL inverts were returned to the water by the end of our awesome trip.

The Nature Guardians are starting their fall sessions with a [secret] art project followed by an exploration of some of our smallest animals, the aquatic invertebrates. We’ll talk about what our findings mean for water quality in the lakes and streams around Shubie Park and brainstorm ideas for stewardship projects we’ll take on this year.

Saturday, Sept 21st, 2-5pm

Meet outside the Fairbanks Centre, Shubie Park, Dartmouth

Because the Nature Guardians chapter does not require parental supervision, we do need an RSVP to plan for numbers and safety. Make sure you are registered online and then give our leader Becky Parker a quick shout to let us know you are coming: yncns@yncns.ca
