The Cape Breton chapter of the Young Naturalists Club of Nova Scotia will be participating in an exciting citizen science project on December 28th tracking bird populations in Canada (and beyond!) Become a scientist for the day, learn how to ID our feathered neighbours, and contribute to valuable environmental research.The Christmas Bird Count for Kids is a super fun bird-watching and citizen science project coordinated by Bird Studies Canada and led by local naturalists across the country.
We will gather on the grounds of the Drs. Coady & Tompkins Memorial Library at 2pm on Saturday, December 28th to begin our bird count and other bird friendly activities. Dress for the weather!
