Celebration of Nature (2019) at Liscombe Lodge

Once again we partnered with Nature Nova Scotia to hold a nature weekend in May complete with youth programming (now called the Nova Scotia Celebration of Nature). It was helpd Liscombe Lodge on the Eastern Shore this spring. We had 14 youth ages 6 – 11 participate in our free program. Older kids tested the water quality of the St. Mary’s River while the younger naturalist particpated in lots of activities about birds. Everyone got to enjoy a boat ride on the St. Mary River with Chester the boat captain. Special guests included Sean Haughian, Botany Curator at the Museum of Natural History, and Gary Schneider from Macphail Woods Forestery Project in PEI.
