Miner’s Marsh, Walk & Talk

Join us for a walk & talk around the Miner’s Marsh in Kentville with Reg Newell from the Department of Natural Resources!  Mr. Newell is the Stewardship Coordinator for the Eastern Habitat Joint Venture (EHJV).  A project that began in 2003 that ‘contribute(s) to the conservation and recovery of species at risk in Nova Scotia in order to prevent species from being extirpated due to human activities’.

This project ‘raise(s) awareness of species at risk, help build stewardship capacity within municipalities and communities, and explore municipal “tools” that might assist in the conservation and recovery of species at risk‘.
