This beach cleanup seems to have become a new annual tradition for us, with lots to see and shelter nearby if we need it. So for March, we’ll meet in the parking lot at MacCormacks Beach in Eastern Passage and head out to the beach with garbage bags and data sheets ready to inventory the waste we find. This will give us three years of clean up data, so at the end of our beach walk we’ll also have a discussion about ways we can share this information with researchers, the public, and anybody else we think should know about ocean pollution!
