Last year we asked ourselves some questions about squirrel behaviour while we made some rodent friends at the park: what factors might affect how likely a squirrel is to take food from our hand, can we tell the difference between individual squirrels based on behaviour or looks, and how do chipmunks compare to squirrels when assessing “friendliness?” Let’s add some more plants to our naturalization garden and then re-open these questions with some squirrel themed nature journaling.
